Brownfields Tools for Economic Growth in Rural Communities Webinar

Thursday, June 28, 2018

Hello Community Leaders, Staff, and Partners! You are invited to attend this free brownfields webinar being co-hosted by the City of San Antonio, Bexar County, the Alamo Area Council of Governments (AACOG), EPA Region 6, the Texas Brownfields Department and the Technical Assistance to Brownfields Program (TAB) at Kansas State University. The webinar will be held from 2:00 to 3:15 p.m. CST. REGISTER TODAY – IT’s FREE!

Does your community have an abandoned building, old gas station or other potentially contaminated building that is impeding your future growth? These webinars are designed to help you and your community find answers to questions such as: What is a brownfield site and why would a community want to assist in their redevelopment? How should a city approach the redevelopment process in a matter that limits their liability? What approach works best for rural areas? What programs are out there to assist local government in assessment, cleanup and redevelopment? Focus will be on information for communities in the AACOG rural areas.

Who should attend? Local and regional government officials, not-for-profit economic and community development organizations and anyone interested in learning about brownfields or about financial resources for local redevelopment.
