House Bill 3295 and Rider 188 from the 85th Legislature, Regular Session, requires that HHSC conduct a study on the provision of dental services to adults with disabilities under the Medicaid program. The report, due no later than December 1, 2018, is to contain the results of the study and recommendations for improving access to dental services in the community and reducing provision of dental services during emergency room visits to adults with disabilties who are receiving services under the Medicaid program.

To gather information for this study, HHSC is conducting a 3-question survey related to adults with disabilities who receive Medicaid. Your assistance will provide your personal perspective on areas such as dental services you find to be essential for adults with disabilities, unique considerations you feel should be brought to their attention in providing dental services to adults with disabilities (you can give examples), and other non-Medicaid options you use for dental care.
