[ARCHIVED] Final Call for Your Art: Governor's Committee Poster Competition

National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM): Poster competition call for entries: We want their entries!

Each October, Texas celebrates National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) with job fairs, public awareness events, and a statewide #HireAbility campaign to promote employment opportunities for Texans with disabilities. As part of the public awareness campaign, the Texas Governor's Committee on People with Disabilities (GCPD) partners with the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) to distribute free NDEAM posters to thousands of Texas employers and businesses to educate them on the talents and abilities of workers with disabilities, while sharing valuable employer resources through the HireAbility website. The posters will feature original work from an outstanding Texas artist, along with their picture and personal statement, and the national NDEAM theme. The posters are intended to spark conversations on the employment of people with disabilities in businesses and organizations across the Lone Star State. The winning artist will also be featured at GCPD's annual Lex Frieden Employment Awards Ceremony, and may be acknowledged in a statewide press release. Help spark a conversation!

Original 2D and 3D art in all media are eligible. For more information, including submission guidelines and entry forms, visit GCPD's webpage or email . GCPD has also created a flier we hope you will share with your network to help promote the competition. We look forward to seeing your art!
