On Thursday, December 12, 2019, from 2-4 pm, the TCEQ will be hosting an application workshop in preparation for the opening of the Alternative Fueling Facility Program (AFFP) under the Texas Emission Reduction Plan (TERP).
The AFFP funds natural gas and other alternative fueling station projects within the Clean Transportation Zone of Texas. For the AACOG region, this includes Atascosa, Bexar, Comal, Frio, Guadalupe, Karnes, McMullen, Medina, and Wilson Counties. Eligible projects include the construction of new alternative fueling facilities, as well as the expansion of existing alternative fueling facilities, as a means of building the foundation for a self-sustaining market for alternative fuels in Texas. There is $6 million in funding available for award during FY 20.
In 2018, AACOG was awarded an AFFP grant to install a Level 2 electric vehicle charger on-site. The AFFP is a great opportunity to have electric vehicle chargers installed at your business or workplace.
We hope you will join us on December 12 to learn more about the Alternative Fueling Facilities Program! This workshop is open to the public and RSVP is not required.
