  1. Your Life - Your Diabetes - Your Choice Self-Management Workshop

    June 7, 2018, 9:00 AM - June 12, 2018, 11:30 AM @ Connect+Ability At Warm Springs (First Floor)

    This interactive workshop is designed to assist individuals with Diabetes to take control of the stressors and hurdles faced daily while manage their chronic condition. Classes are highly participatory. Mutual support and success throughout the class series builds participants’ confidence in managing their health and maintaining active and fulfilling lives. Class participants receive a participant book as well as a relaxation CD to assist in their continued health upon completion of the class series. All participants must begin the class within the first 2 sessions (no later than May 24). Maximum benefit is obtained by attending at least 4 of the 6 sessions. Pre-registration is required. This ensures there are the minimum number of required participants needed to begin the class series.

  1. Veterans & Military Families Career Fair

    June 12, 2018, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM @ TriPoint Event Center

    Goodwill San Antonio is hosting a Career Fair for Veterans and Military Families on Tuesday, June 12th at the TriPoint Event Center. More than 50 employers will be present to include Accenture, BBVA, City of San Antonio, Harland Clarke, Holt Cat, JP Morgan Chase, Randolph Brooks FCU, U.S. Air Force NAF, USAA, and many more. Job seekers are encouraged to bring copies of their resume, dress for success, and be prepared for on-site interviews. Goodwill San Antonio’s Good Careers Center staff will be on-site to assist with resume development (translating military skills to a civilian resume), job searching, interview practice, and one-on-one job coaching. For anyone seeking assistance prior to the career fair, they are welcome to meet with one of Goodwill San Antonio's Veteran Career Specialists by sending an email to veterans@goodwillsa.org.
