The primary purpose of the GBCCC is to actively promote the collective interests of its member municipalities on behalf of their respective citizens and to join with other municipalities within the area and across the State of Texas who share similar interests, concerns and goals. The meetings are held for cities to discuss issues and try to find solutions to mutual problems. GBCCC members also serve on a number of committees and boards with various organizations, including the MPO, VIA and AACOG.
