Veterans Transportation 

AACOG provides information and access to transportation and mobility assistance for veterans through Rides 4 Texas Heroes. 

This program provides rides (Monday-Friday, 7am to 6pm) to eligible veterans, their dependents and surviving spouses throughout the 13-county AACOG service area (Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, Frio, Gillespie, Guadalupe, Karnes, Kendall, Kerr, Medina, McMullen, and Wilson counties), for the purpose of:
  • Medical appointments, 
  • Grocery trips,
  • Pharmacy trips, 
  • Social events,  and 
  • Job interviews. 
Any honorably discharged veteran, their immediate family (spouse or dependents under the age of 18), surviving spouses can request transportation assistance through AACOG. Rides should be scheduled at least 48-hours in advance. Please notify the program if you require a vehicle that can accommodate a wheelchair or other mobility aide.
