Security Officer – Part-time
(AACOG)
Performs routine (journey-level) security enforcement work; Work involves patrolling grounds; Receiving visitors, inspecting and safeguarding buildings, properties, and equipment; Directing traffic when needed; Works under moderate supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Patrols the building perimeter and premises; Monitors surveillance cameras, inspects property, and monitors crowds; Contacts law enforcement or fire department in case of an emergency; Responds to calls of security concern and reports to supervisor or emergency personnel depending on the severity of the situation; Logs daily activities and any issues addressed; Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Degree/Job Experience: Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent is required; Experience in law enforcement or security work; Experience and education may be substituted for one another; Or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Other Qualifications: Verbal and written communications skills; Ability to observe situations with an attention to detail.
This position is a Pay Grade 5 with a starting hourly salary of $14.27 This is a non-exempt position. Open until Filled. Only electronic online applications will be accepted.
