Home and Community-Based Services (HCS)
The HCS program provides individualized services and supports to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities (determined by a DID) who are living with their family, in their own home or in other community settings, such as small group homes or in a foster/care companion setting. Services are intended to meet the person's needs so the person can maintain himself or herself in the community and have opportunities to participate as a citizen to the maximum extent possible.
Persons living in a foster/companion care setting or an HCS residence pay for room and board with either their monthly Supplemental Security Income (SSI) check or other personal resources.
Community Supports, Employment Assistance, Supported Employment, Behavior Supports, Specialized therapies, Day Habilitation, Respite Services and/or Health Services are among the services provided to an individual as stated in the person directed plan.
NOTE: Your name will be placed on an interest list, and you will be notified when services are available.
