This is a responsible, non-supervisory administrative support position; Responsibilities include providing administrative support to the Natural Resources Project Administrator, the Regional Services Administrator, and to other department staff.

Duties include coordinating meetings, preparing meeting materials, taking minutes at committee/public meetings, and preparing mail outs; Working with departmental staff to plan, develop, and execute assigned projects consistent with strategic goals of the department and the agency; assisting with research, filing, data entry, recording, and maintaining accurate records; Handling sensitive and confidential information with honesty and integrity; Performing ad-hoc requests as prioritized per the Natural Resources Project Administrator and executive leadership; Knowledge of and ability to operate computers, including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software; Knowledge of the city/county region; Strong organizational and coordination skills; Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, public officials, and a broad cross section of members of the community.

Provides staff support for several Agency and supported committees; Assists with agenda development, coordinating preparation of materials for meetings, and taking and transcribing minutes of meetings when necessary; Provides administrative support to the Natural Resources Project Administrator, and other department staff; Prepares mail outs; Performs membership dues collection for AACOG member governments, which includes updating and mailing letters/invoices and maintaining accurate records of payment status; Updates information for the AACOG Membership Directory; Prepares correspondence, forms, and other materials for the Natural Resources Project Administrator and other personnel; Assists in the coordination of various community and regional events; Assists with processing invoices and other documentation to the Accounting department; Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Desired Degree/Job Experience: High school graduate or its equivalent, plus three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in a secretarial or administrative field; Or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the re­quired knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Other Qualifications: Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation.

This position is a Pay Grade 9 with a starting hourly rate of $18.41. This is a non-exempt position. Open until Filled. Only electronic online applications will be accepted.
